EYE@Porto2026 is brought to life by the Grupo de Jovens Engenheiros (GJE), the young engineers' branch of the Ordem dos Engenheiros de Portugal. Founded to bridge the gap between recent graduates and the profession, GJE has long championed the interests, growth, and visibility of young engineers across all engineering fields and regions of Portugal.
Over the years, GJE has also built a strong track record in organising large-scale national and international initiatives, including events, conferences, technical sessions, and networking forums that bring together young professionals from across the country and beyond. This experience has helped establish GJE as an active and trusted voice for young engineers in Portugal.
Organising EYE@Porto2026 is a natural extension of that mission for us. The European Young Engineers conference embodies the cross-border collaboration, professional development and the belief that young engineers are not just the future of the profession but are actively shaping it right now!
